WELCOME MODERATOR

CHLOE MCDOWELL 1377

CLAREMONT FAN COURT SCHOOL 64680

I worked with:
Beatrice Chavdarova 1309
James Eager 1372
Alex Davies 1313

I have chosen Brief 2.
A promotion package for a new film, to include a trailer, together with the following two options:
•a film magazine front cover, featuring the film
•a poster for the film.

I chose to make a trailer.

My evaluation questions are above.

I have taken responsibility for directing my own acting scenes such as me receiving a risk text, running to the knife and I co-directed most of the film with the rest of my group. Also, I co-created the production company "Blondie Productions' which can be seen at the beginning my trailer. With editing, I cut the clips and made sure they were in the right order before giving them to James 1372  who edited the rest of the trailer.

CONSTRUCTION: CREATING A QR CODE

I have created a GQ code to use for my magazine cover. I used THIS website to create my QR code. A QR code (quick response code) is a type of 2D barcode that is used to provide easy access to information through a smartphone.

CONSTRUCTION: MAKING A TUMBLR

I have made a Tumblr blog for our film to be able to engage with our audience and keep them updated with the latest events of our film. Teasers of the trailer being made, character profiles and release dates will be posted on this blog.

HERE IS A LINK TO MY TUMBLR PAGE.

I read an article on why films should be promoted on Tumblr and it brought up important points about the significance of Tumblr in our younger societies. Here is a quote from the article, "Tumblr is growing exponentially, Donia points out, citing one report that puts Tumblr ahead of Wikipedia in monthly page views. It turns out Tumblr is also a very active sounding board late at night and on weekends, times when other social media sites, including Facebook and Twitter, are relative ghost towns. " This conveys that lots of people view Tumblr and it should not be forgotten when promoting a film, especially a film like mine which is targeting a younger audience. HERE is a link to the Article.
